About Us
WinnServ was first incorporated in 1976 under the name Commserv, meaning community service. In 1979, we changed the name to Winnserv, as a way of connecting the idea of both service and Winnipeg. Since then, WinnServ has been working with adults living with intellectual disabilities in Winnipeg.

In 2024, we chose to place a greater emphasis on service by capitalizing the “S” in our name – WinnServ. At WinnServ, serving others means helping and supporting people in a way that makes their lives better and strengthens our communities.
